Patrick McIntyre, Vice President of Strategy as part of Best Buy’s Transformation Office, is responsible for providing strategic guidance and financial oversight on initiatives designed to transform Best Buy. Prior to this role, he served as Vice President for Growth, Innovation, and Strategy for Best Buy where he was responsible for Corporate Development, including the acquisition of GreatCall, and forming partnerships with innovative technology companies that could advance the strategy of Best Buy.
Patrick joined Best Buy in 2004 and has held numerous positions throughout his time with the company. He started as a Senior Financial Analyst and partnered with the merchandising team responsible for buying movies and video games. In the past 11 years, he has held such roles as Director of Digital Merchandising and Business Development, CFO for Napster, Sr. Director of Business Finance and now his current role as part of the Best Buy Transformation Office.
Patrick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in International Business and Investment Finance and a minor in Economics from Drake University in Des Moines, IA. He earned his JD at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and his MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
